This thing is a sort of sweet pull apart bread, pretty cool name though, eh? If you wonder why is being called monkey brains, well your guess is as good as mine, maybe because it’s a brain like texture? But who cares? This thing is very good actually as long as you’re not watching your cholesterol or sugar levels, you can definitely use it when you have a party. Anyway, enjoy!
What makes this bread simple to make is that I instead of making my own dough, I used Pillsbury biscuits. You’ll need 3 cans of them, there are 10 biscuits in a can. Cut each biscuit in quarters.
This is what you get when done.
In a big ziploc bag, pour a cup of sugar, 2 teaspoons of cinnamon and mix it well. Now add the biscuit pieces to the bag and shake it well. Make sure all the pieces are fully coated with sugar and cinnamon.
Put the cinnamon sugar coated pieces of biscuits in a bundt pan. In a sauce pan melt the butter and add the brown sugar to it. Once the butter is melted and the sugar fully dissolved, pour it over the monkey brains.
Bake this in a preheated oven at 350° F / 175° C for about 45 minutes, or until the top is dark brown.
At this point you are done, however I recommend you let this thing cool down completely before turning it over onto a plate. Have fun!

It looks so nice. I’ve made it before with more of a syrup on the bottom, and it was a bit of a hot mess.

That would work too I guess. I love it with a lot of syrup as well.
